Στις πρόσφατες εκλογές της ΕΕΒΕΠ, δέχθηκα επικριτικά σχόλια σε ό,τι αφορά το άρθρο μου "Επίτιμος και υποψήφιος ταυτόχρονα; Παρακαλώ, διαφωτίστε με!". Για την ακρίβεια ερωτήθηκα πού έχω δει γραμμένο ότι δεν επιτρέπεται κάποιος επίτιμος πρόεδρος να είναι εκ νέου υποψήφιος.

Many thanks for your email concerning the ACTA agreement. I am delighted to be able to inform you that ACTA has been defeated in the plenary session of the European Parliament by 478 votes to 39, with 165 abstentions. This represents the biggest ever defeat of a legislative proposal from the Commission in the European Parliament. An earlier attempt by the pro-ACTA MEPs to postpone the vote was defeated.

thanks for your numerous requests on ACTA. Due to a very high number of e-mails we cannot reply personally to each one and we apologize for that.

Today, in a historic vote, ACTA was swept away by a massive 478 MEPs against it. Only 39 MEPs spoke out in absolute favour. 165 abstained. Greens, GUE and the social democrats voted against, the conservatives and liberals were split.
