thanks for your numerous requests on ACTA. Due to a very high number of e-mails we cannot reply personally to each one and we apologize for that.

Today, in a historic vote, ACTA was swept away by a massive 478 MEPs against it. Only 39 MEPs spoke out in absolute favour. 165 abstained. Greens, GUE and the social democrats voted against, the conservatives and liberals were split.

We Greens have been from the beginning against ACTA and have been campaigning for the past three years on that issue. Find our latest "50 reasons to reject ACTA" here.

Attached you find our study on ACTA and the access to medicine that clearly shows that ACTA will negatively impact the access to generics in developing countries.

Thanks for the numerous mails to Members of the European Parliament and other forms of protest. That definitely contributed to the today's success.
